Description: In this workshop, we'll explore the major themes of socialism through captivating stories from Poland, Estonia, Denmark, and Sweden. We'll also take a peek at how Singapore's unique approach stands out in contrast. This workshop will cover ideas of what socialism really means—past and present. With hands-on activities, creative discussions, and eye-opening data, you'll discover the evolving ideas behind socialist thought. Plus, you'll leave with classroom-ready activities that will help your students better understand the realities of socialism!

*Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made within 10 days of the workshop and "no-shows" will be charged a $25 fee. Cancellations can be made by calling 601-974-1325 or by emailing mscee@millsaps.edu. No exceptions will be made. You will not be charged during registration. If you attend the workshop, your card will never be charged. However, teachers that cancel within 10 days of the workshop or are a "no show" will be charged $25.
**Workshop Stipend Policy: Gift cards or stipend payments will only be provided to Mississippi teachers who meet the criteria specified in the registration information. It is the responsibility of the recipient to review this information to ensure they qualify. Gift cards or stipend payments will be issued within 30 days of the training to the email address used for registration and must be accepted within 90 days of issuance. If not accepted within this period, the payment will be retracted with no obligation to reissue the payment.
